“Bruce Momjian may not be the most famous free software figure, but as a founder and lead architect of [PostgreSQL], he is an ardent believer in the correctness and beauty of open source development.” — Bruce was here for Open CeBIT, great to meet him!

re: PostgreSQL link
Wow, that has to be one of the worse tech articles ever written.
Below is a typical non-sensical paragraph:
With some patches going to require three days to do, Momjian is confident the upcoming 8.3 release “should be” more powerful than 8.2 which did not have a lot of new functionality but feature completion.
What the hell does patches requiring 3 days to do have to do with anything? Geesh, this article hurt my head.
Does the “they” in this next paragraph refer to open source projects or PgSQL? Geesh:
According to Momjian, a lot of open source projects can learn from PostgreSQL’s stringent quality assurance because they don’t get the luxury of putting out a bad release because there is zero tolerance for things that don’t work.
Why wait? Dell’s POV is http://direct2dell.com/one2one/archive/2007/05/07/14120.aspx
What things would be suicide to do in Australia?
