Yup, Ubuntu is roughly 5 years behind the competition (though it is the 2nd best Linux, which is pretty good). Sure, there are some gizmos and neat things but most of the developers just don’t get it that if it doesn’t provide extra value to the User it’s moot. Instead of actually implementing the strategically important features all sorts of nerdy tweaking and whatnot happens.
