It prompted a renewed interest in something I&#039;d never found a good solution to - analyzing page load times as seen by modem users. You wouldn&#039;t believe the hacks I&#039;ve tried in the past. Well, here&#039;s one that works well: It&#039;s a java webstart based proxy server (it runs locally) that throttles your connection to whatever speed you like.
