Oracle is more than whelcome to join, but they do have a lot more to prove. Oracle might talk the talk, but RedHat walkes the walk.
RedHat has been working hard on making as much as possible open for everyone. They are the largest player in the market that have realy focused on the openness and they have delivered again and again.
There are many examples for technologies and programs that has been freed by RedHat.
