Seriously Belgium

Source21 @ FOSDEM 2006

During FOSDEM I was interviewed about GNOME and Ubuntu by a Dutch online video magazine called Source21.nl. Not only was I wearing a collared shirt and jacket, but for some reason I had a very serious expression on my face for most of the interview. It might have been something to do with the very cold temperatures and the fact that I was wearing sandals. Not a good combination. But… the serious face disappeared quickly when I had the opportunity to pimp Gimmie. :-)

Watch the interview, sadly only in Windows Media and Quicktime formats.

Wow, the Quicktime version is H.264 and works great in Dapper using totem-gstreamer’s firefox plugin!

    Without crashing!

    (that’s a first ;) )

No, mp4 is only a quicktime-like format and it was standardize by the ISO… so there should be no problem with this format

When I listen to Radio National, Brent Clough subbing and asking about stuff, making claims and only Microsoft representatives are talking about doing stuff, it’s not only unfair but mainly unfair that they didnt ask you to attend.

Why were you not there? Why were you notevewn asked to be there:?

    I don’t know

I do not know. You should have been there? You should be there

You did great on this interview Jeff, it looks like you have experiences with interviews, or are you just natural ? :)

Oh yeah, you cracked me up with that “getting laid” ha ha, that’s was funny.

    Cheers

Very nice interview, I didn’t even make a cigarette break in the middle. Professional and fun at the same time… oh, and I think people not knowing Gnome would think “wow, that thing must be really cool” after watching it.

Thanks and keep up the great job.

P.S. And don’t try to fool anyone saying that you work at all. On March 22 and 23 Planet Ubuntu had 5 posts from your blog… there’s no way you can do other things besides writing.
