Saw Angels in America the other week. Al Pacino’s Roy Cohn was so great, I read a whole bunch of history about Cohn and the McCarthy era. Great stuff. So, I was surprised to see an article about the McCarthy hearings on CNN, noting that it had been 50 years to the day since Joseph Welch pilloried McCarthy on live television, “Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?”
